My name is Brendan Frett and I am the founder of Frett & Co. Clockworks. Although I’m a scientist by trade, I am passionate about refinishing vintage, antique, and modern watches. While I have always been intrigued by mechanisms and discovering how they work, my fascination with watches began when I received my great-great grandfather’s Waltham pocket watch from 1880. The intricacy and accuracy of a time piece that is nearly 150 years old captivated me, and, from that moment on, I began to learn all I could about horology and watchmaking. In March of 2020 I founded Frett & Co. Clockworks so that I could share my passion with others.
Frett & Co. Clockworks is a small batch, custom restoration company located in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our mission is to preserve and enhance vintage, antique, and modern watches. We combine traditional and pioneering techniques to create unique, quality products with lasting value. Frett & Co. Clockworks focuses on breathing new life into timepieces by meticulously restoring the dial and hands and refinishing movements with dynamic, colored accents. Each timepiece is carefully taken apart, inspected, and serviced so the watch runs like the day it left the factory. As a finishing touch, many timepieces are cased with a see-through case back so the movement can be enjoyed for years to come.
