How to wind

All vintage watches are manual wind, and all watches we sell are wound with the crown. To wind the watch, turn the crown clockwise until you feel resistance. It is not possible to over-wind a watch—you will feel resistance when the mainspring is fully wound. Most watches have a run time of approximately 30 hours on a standard mainspring.

HOW TO SET

Watches we sell are set with the crown IN two variations.

sTEM SET

(1) Pull crown up to set. (2) Push crown down to wind.

Stem set watches rely on a setting mechanism triggered by pulling out the crown. With a stem set watch, the crown is pulled out to the 1st position. This engages the hands and the time can be set with the crown.

lEVER SET

(1) Pull lever out to set. (2) Push lever in to wind.

Lever set watches rely on a setting mechanism triggered by pulling out a lever under the bezel. The front bezel is removed and the setting lever is pulled out. This engages the hands and the time can be set with the crown.
