Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1925. It is powered by Hamilton’s 902 grade movement—a 19-jewel in-house caliber produced for only a few short years between 1924 and 1928, with just 9,700 units made. The movement has been fully restored and carefully refinished with blue accents on the screws and hardware, applied by hand using thermal coloring—a traditional technique used by watchmakers in the early 1900s to improve both corrosion resistance and visual appeal. The jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights were individually hand-polished to restore their original golden luster and sheen. The watch hands have not been refinished and retain their original heat-plum color, preserving their vintage charm. The Hamilton dial is metal and in near-flawless condition. The dial exemplifies classic American railroad design, featuring bold, legible numerals for quick and easy time-checking—true to the function-first philosophy that defined the golden era of American watchmaking.
The timepiece is encased in a surgical grade 316L stainless steel conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
