Elgin B.W. Raymond from 1911 in a PVD Sapphire Blue case

Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1911. The watch is powered by Elgin’s in-house 19 jewel Grade 189 movement, which was only produced for a few years between 1898-1914. The movement features 19 jewels, a jeweled motor barrel, elegantly raised gold jewel settings, and beautiful damaskeening. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with vibrant blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands of the watch have not been restored and are in their original plum color. The gold jewel settings have been cleaned to bring out their original golden color, which now glisten in the light. The Elgin dial is porcelain-enamel and in excellent condition with elegant Roman Numerals. The watch is cased in a limited edition PVD sapphire blue 44 mm wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The case is only approximately 12 mm thick providing the most compact profile available for a pocket watch conversion. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure. Because of our dedication to preserving history, the original gold filled pocket watch case will be included as well.
