PVD Coated 44 mm Elgin G.M. Wheeler from 1911

Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1911. The watch is powered by Elgin’s in-house 17 jewel Grade 346 movement, which was only produced for a few years between 1906-1912. The movement features 17 jewels, beautifully decorated ratchet and crown wheels, an intricate pattern on the balance, and beautiful damaskeening. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components and the hands have been restored using the same process. The gold jewel settings have been cleaned to bring out their original golden color. The Elgin dial is porcelain-enamel and in flawless condition. The watch is cased in a new PVD coated wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
