This timepiece is a pocket watch in its original 20 year gold filled case. The dial is porcelain-enamel and the movement features 21 jewels and is a railroad chronometer.

Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This Illinois timepiece was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1919. The watch is powered by the iconic Bunn Special movement, which was Illinois flagship railroad chronometer movement manufactured from 1893-1930. The movement is in exceptional condition with beautiful sunburst damaskeening and also features 14 karat gold jewel settings. The movement has been custom refinished with deep blue accents, and the movement screws have been finished in blue as well. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands of the watch have also been restored using the same heat treatment process. The Illinois dial is porcelain-enamel, features bold Arabic Numerals, and is in flawless condition. The dial is in the classic Montgomery style with minute indices along the edge. The watch comes cased in the original 20 year gold filled pocket watch case and includes a Frett & Co leather fob. Having undergone thorough servicing, this timepiece is ready for your upcoming adventures.
