Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This timepiece from Illinois was crafted in Springfield in 1920 and is driven by the A Lincoln grade movement, a 21-jewel Illinois in-house mechanism produced from 1907 to 1928. The movement, adorned with exquisite striped damaskeening, boasts a bridge plate design that showcases the entire gear train. Remarkably well-preserved, the movement has been custom refinished with deep blue accents, achieved through meticulous thermal treatment of each part. The movement screws have also been finished in blue. The watch hands underwent a similar process during restoration.

The metal Illinois dial features stunning applied golden indices that gleam in the light. Housed in a newly designed silver-colored wristwatch conversion case, this timepiece offers comfortable wear with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, which also provide a more personalized fit on various wrist sizes. The case, equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, ensures water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is advisable to remove the watch before water activities. Having undergone a thorough servicing, this timepiece is ready for your upcoming adventures. As a testament to our commitment to preserving history, the original pocket watch case is included.
