Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.
Crafted in Springfield, Illinois, and completed in 1912, this Illinois timepiece is driven by the grade 35 movement—a 15-jewel Illinois in-house movement produced from 1905 to 1917. The movement has been completely restored and refinished by incorporating stylish blue accents to the screws and movement hardware. These accents were achieved through the precise hand-thermal treatment of each movement part to color the iron-based components. The hands of the watch have not been restored and are in their original heat-plum color.
The Illinois dial, made of porcelain-enamel, boasts beautiful Arabic numerals with red accents around the perimeter of the dial. Encased in a newly designed silver-colored wristwatch conversion case, this timepiece ensures comfortable wear for people that prefer a smaller wrist profile. The case, equipped with case and crown gaskets, offers water resistance up to 10 meters, although it is advisable to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. Having undergone thorough servicing, this timepiece is ready for your upcoming adventures.
