44 mm Illinois 17 jewel conversion from 1932

Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This Illinois pocket watch was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1932. The watch is configured in the classic drivers style, which features an off-set crown so the time can be easily read with hands on the wheel. It is powered by the 127 grade movement, which is a 17 jewel Illinois in-house movement that was produced between 1927-1932. The movement is in exceptional condition with beautiful damaskeening, has been restored, and also has been custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components, and the hands of the watch have been restored using the same thermal treatment process. The Illinois dial is metal and has beautiful patina. We matched the dial with a custom worn strap to help capture the vintage aesthetic. The watch is cased in a new silver-colored wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
