44 mm Illinois Grade 404 from 1918

Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This Illinois pocket watch was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1918. It is powered by the 404 grade movement, which is a 17 jewel Illinois in-house movement that was produced between 1911-1923. The movement has been serviced, restored, and refinished. The blue colored accents on the movement hardware were added by hand by thermally heating each part to color the iron-based metal. The hands of the watch were not restored and are in their original condition. The movement also features brass jewel settings and a two-finger bridge plate design. The Illinois dial is metal with a floral guilloche motif at the center and the subdial is textured with a radiant, circular pattern. The watch is cased in a new silver-colored wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure. Because of our dedication to preserving history, the original pocketwatch case will be provided as well.
