44 mm Illinois 'Sterling' 21 jewel conversion from 1925

Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

The watch is powered by the 274 grade movement, which is a 21 jewel Illinois in-house movement that was produced between 1911-1926. The movement is in exceptional condition with beautiful damaskeening and bright golden movement accents. The golden accents were completed by Illinois at the time of manufacture in 1925. The hands of the watch are in their original blue color, which was also completed by Illinois at the time of manufacture. The Illinois dial is metal with a beautiful circular textured guilloche motif that is dynamic in the light. The watch is cased in a new silver-colored wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
