Established in 1832 in the Swiss town of Saint-Imier, Longines has built a distinguished reputation as one of the world’s leading watchmakers. The brand gained acclaim for its meticulously crafted wristwatches throughout the mid-20th century, particularly during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Celebrated for its innovation and precision, Longines also produced remarkable pocket watches in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, further solidifying its status as a master of horology.

This Longines timepiece was manufactured in Switzerland, and was finished in 1920. The watch is powered by the 15 jewel in house Longines 1879 caliber, which was produced during the early 1900s. The movement features 15 jewels, beautifully decorated ratchet and crown wheels, an intricate pattern on the balance, and striped damaskeening. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands of the watch feature a one-of-a-kind serpentine kine design and are in their original golden color. The dial is metal and features golden Arabic numerals.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
