Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and finished in 1899. It is powered by Elgin's proprietary 15-jewel Grade 191 movement, a limited-production model with only 10,000 units made between 1899 and 1900. The movement features 15 jewels, an intricate balance motif, and golden jewel settings. The movement components have been refined with stylish blue accents on the screws and hardware through precise hand-thermal treatment using traditional watchmaking techniques. The watch hands remain unrestored and are in their original heat blued color. The Elgin dial is two-toned and features a sunburst pattern with golden motifs a the center and edge. The dial is in exceptional condition for being over 100 years old.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel pocket watch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures. Because of our dedication to preserving history, the original Elgin pocket watch case will be included as well.
