Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and finished in 1917. It is powered by Elgin's proprietary 17-jewel Grade 383 movement, a limited-production model with only 20,400 units made between 1909 and 1917. The movement features 17 jewels, an intricate balance motif, and golden jewel settings. The movement components have been refined with stylish blue accents on the screws and hardware through precise hand-thermal treatment using traditional watchmaking techniques. The watch hands remain unrestored and are in their original Louis XIV fancy style. The Elgin dial, made of porcelain enamel, is in flawless condition despite its age, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. It showcases intricate golden motifs and elegant Arabic numerals.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel pocket watch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures.
