Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1925. It is driven by Elgin's proprietary 17-jewel Grade 345 movement, produced by Elgin from 1905 to 1933. The movement boasts 17 jewels, brass jewel settings, and beautiful damaskeening. The movement has been restored and custom-refinished with distinctive blue accents. These accents were achieved by thermally treating each movement part by hand to impart a blue hue to the iron-based components, and the hands were restored using the same thermal treatment process. The Elgin dial features a one-of-a-kind sunburst bark design. We have only ever seen this dial style once before on a Hamilton and never on an Elgin. The heat-blued hands stand out beautifully against the bark dial, while the golden indices add a touch of elegance, making time-checking a visual delight.

The timepiece is housed in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, featuring adjustable lugs for convenient winding and setting, ensuring a custom fit for different wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although it is advised to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece is fully serviced and ready for your next adventure,
