Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and completed in 1934. It is powered by Elgin's proprietary 19-jewel Grade 491 movement, a rare model produced between 1933 and 1940. The movement features 19 jewels, intricately adorned ratchet and crown wheels, and striped damaskeening. The movement components were meticulously refinished with stylish blue accents on the screws and hardware through precise hand-thermal treatment, using traditional watchmaking techniques. The watch hands received the same restoration, while the brass jewel settings were cleaned to reveal their original golden sheen. The Elgin dial is metal with golden indices. The heat-blued hands provide exceptional contrast against the dial, offering a visual delight when checking the time.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
