Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.
This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1910. The watch is powered by Elgin’s in-house 17 jewel Grade 346 movement, which was only produced for a few years between 1906-1912. The movement features 17 jewels, beautifully decorated ratchet and crown wheels, an intricate pattern on the balance, and beautiful damaskeening. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with blue accents. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands have not been restored and are in their original gold color. The gold jewel settings have been cleaned to bring out their original golden color. The Elgin dial is in the fancy style and in good condition. The dial has very faint hairlines in the center and a small mark above the 59 second mark of the subdial—otherwise the dial is in excellent condition.
The watch is cased in a new silver-colored wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
