Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and was finished in 1917. It is driven by Elgin's proprietary 17-jewel GM Wheeler, a high-end model produced by Elgin from 1906 to 1917. The movement boasts 17 jewels, intricately adorned ratchet and crown wheels, and exquisite damaskeening. The movement has been meticulously restored and custom-refinished with distinctive blue accents. These accents were achieved by manually thermally treating each movement part, imparting a blue hue to the iron-based components. The heat blued hands underwent restoration and thermal coloring as well, while the brass jewel settings have been cleaned to reveal their original golden sheen. The Elgin dial, fashioned in an epic sunburst design, is made of metal and is in exceptional condition. The sunburst dial is dynamic in the light and looks incredible.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures. In our dedication to preserving history, the original pocket watch case, chain, and pocket knife fob are included as well. This addition honors the timepiece's heritage and provides a meaningful connection to its past.
