Hampden Watch Co. was in operation from 1877-1927 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Hampden watches took place at their facility in Canton, Ohio.
This Hampden timepiece was manufactured in Canton, Ohio, and was finished in 1918. It is powered by the Viking grade movement, which is a 17 jewel movement produced by Hampden during the early 1900s. The movement has been restored and custom refinished with vibrant blue accents. The accents were created through thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands have not been restored and are in their original heat blue condition. The Hampden dial is porcelain-enamel and in flawless condition void of cracks, chips, or hairlines. The dial has beautiful bold Arabic Numerals and also features a beautiful sub-second dial.
The timepiece is housed in a new silver-colored wristwatch conversion case designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting and to allow for a more tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case, featuring front, back, and crown gaskets, provides water resistance up to 50 meters, although it is advisable to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
