Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and completed in 1925, is driven by the 916 grade movement—a 17-jewel Hamilton in-house movement manufactured between 1923 and 1928. The movement has undergone restoration and a refinish with deep blue accents, including the screws. These accents were meticulously achieved by thermally heating each part by hand, resulting in a distinctive blue coloring of the iron-based components. The watch hands have not been restored and are in their original heat-blue color. The Hamilton dial is in excellent condition, and features golden applied numerals that glisten in the light. At the center of the dial is an beautiful guilloche floral motif.
The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting and to allow for a more tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case, featuring front, back, and crown gaskets, provides water resistance up to 50 meters, although it is advisable to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
