Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1932, features a distinctive secometer complication and is powered by the 912 grade—a 17-jewel in-house movement produced from 1923 to 1937. Every movement component has been meticulously refinished, featuring elegant blue accents on the screws and hardware, achieved through precise hand-thermal treatment using traditional watchmaking techniques. The brass jewel settings, balance, balance weights, and gear train were carefully hand-cleaned, restoring their factory-original golden brilliance and sheen. The watch hands remain unrestored, preserving their original manufactured condition in a rich heat blue finish. The Hamilton dial is in excellent condition, showcasing bold numerals and a secometer complication. Instead of the standard sub second dial at 6:00, the watch features a rotating disc to display the passage of seconds. The blue hands provide striking contrast against the dial, offering a visual delight each time the time is checked.
The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
