Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1934, features the 912 grade movement—a 17-jewel in-house movement produced by Hamilton between 1923 and 1937. The movement has been meticulously restored and refinished with deep blue accents, including the screws, achieved through precise thermal heating of each iron-based component by hand. The watch hands have also undergone the same heat treatment process. The Hamilton dial is in excellent condition and showcases a unique secometer complication at the sub-dial. The seconds hand has been converted to a seconds disc to display the passage of time. The secometer on this Hamilton timepiece is a unique and rare complication, setting it apart from other vintage watches. Instead of a traditional seconds hand, the secometer features a seconds disc that rotates to indicate the passage of time. This distinctive design was produced in very limited quantities, making it a coveted feature among collectors and horology enthusiasts. The secometer's precise and elegant functionality adds a layer of sophistication and historical significance to the watch.
The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
