Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1939, carries notable historical significance. Powered by the 917 grade—a 17-jewel in-house movement produced between 1936 and 1954—it exemplifies Hamilton's renowned precision craftsmanship. While most components of the 917 movement were designed to be antimagnetic with low iron content, this specific example is not antimagnetic due to its blued steel hairspring. As a result, this particular 917 is suitable for thermal coloring, and its movement hardware has been meticulously thermally colored by hand. The watch retains its original golden hands, which perfectly complement the metal dial adorned with golden applied indices that shimmer beautifully in the light. Together, the golden indices and hands create a striking and harmonious contrast against the dial, enhancing the watch's visual appeal.

The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
