Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece was crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 1903. It is powered by the 926-grade movement—an in-house Hamilton caliber with 17 jewels, produced between 1895 and 1922. This was a flagship 18-size piece for Hamilton and one of their most popular movements. The movement has been restored and features original gold accents that were added by Hamilton at the time of manufacture. The hands have been restored to a deep blue hue using thermal coloring, the same method Hamilton used during that period. The porcelain-enamel dial is in excellent condition, and the Hamilton logo at the center of the dial is displayed in an elegant font. There is a small edge chip at the setting lever and at 1 o’clock, which are not visible when the bezel is affixed.
The timepiece is housed in its original 25 year gold filled pocket watch case with both front and back hinged casebacks. The watch is "lever-set," meaning the time is set by pulling out a setting lever. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
