Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.
This Illinois timepiece was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1926. The watch is powered by the Autocrat grade movement, which is a 17-jewel Illinois in-house movement produced between 1921 and 1927. The movement has been meticulously restored and refinished with deep blue accents on the movement hardware, achieved through precise thermal heating of each component by hand. The watch hands remain in their original golden color and are unrestored. The Illinois dial is in new old stock condition and looks nearly flawless. The Masonic motif at the center is in four colors: black, gold, red, and blue, while the golden numerals shimmer and glisten in the light.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting, ensuring a tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before participating in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures. Because of our dedication to preserving history, the original 14-karat gold-filled Illinois Autocrat pocket watch case will be included as well.
