Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.
This exquisite Illinois timepiece was meticulously crafted in Springfield, Illinois, in 1923. This watch is powered by Illinois' most advanced 12s movement, the Grade 410. The timepiece features 23 jewels and a jeweled motor barrel. The jewels, composed of vibrant rubies and sapphires, showcase a stunning red/purple hue, while the movement itself has an elegant cross hatch pattern. We meticulously serviced this piece taking extra care to preserve the original golden hardware added by Illinois during its manufacture. The Illinois dial, made specifically for this movement, proudly displays "Illinois" and "23 jewels." The golden indices of the dial glisten and shine in the light. The hands remain in their original, unrestored condition, adding to the watch's historical authenticity.
The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures.
