Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This Illinois timepiece was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1911. The watch is powered by the 228 grade movement, which is a 15 jewel Illinois in-house movement that was produced between 1904-1918. The movement is in exceptional condition with beautiful sunburst damaskeening and also features a bridge plate design so the entire gear train is on display. The movement has been custom refinished with deep blue accents, and the movement screws have been finished in blue as well. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands of the watch are in their original condition and have not been restored. The Illinois dial is metal with a circular guilloche motif in the center and a stripped finish on the exterior.

The timepiece is housed in a new silver-colored wristwatch conversion case designed with adjustable lugs for ease in winding and setting and to allow for a more tailored fit across various wrist sizes. The case, featuring front, back, and crown gaskets, provides water resistance up to 50 meters, although it is advisable to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures.
