Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This Illinois timepiece was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1912—the same year the Titanic sunk. The watch is powered by the 274 grade movement, which is a 19 jewel Illinois in-house movement produced between 1911-1926. The movement is in exceptional condition with beautiful web-like damaskeening and also features a bridge plate design so the entire gear train is on display. The movement has been custom refinished with deep blue accents, and the movement screws and rachet/crown wheels have been finished in blue as well. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components and the hands of the watch have been restored using the same process. The Illinois dial is porcelain-enamel, has absolutely elegant numerals, and is in excellent condition. The watch is cased in a new silver-colored wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
