Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This Illinois timepiece, crafted in Springfield, Illinois, was completed in 1923. It features the renowned 406-grade movement, a 19-jewel in-house caliber produced by Illinois from 1913 to 1926. The movement has been meticulously restored by hand-polishing the plates, jewel settings, gear train, balance, and balance weights to return them to their original condition. Special care was taken to preserve the damaskeening and the brilliance of the golden jewel settings. The movement components remain unrestored, retaining their original golden accents applied by Illinois at the time of manufacture. The watch hands were restored using thermal coloring to return them to their original heat-blued condition. The metal Illinois dial boasts a stunning guilloché motif at the center, revealing remarkable tones and textures under different lighting.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel pocket watch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures.
