Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.
This Illinois timepiece was manufactured in Springfield, Illinois, and was finished in 1926. The watch is powered by the 410 grade movement, which is a 23 jewel Illinois in-house movement that was only produced for one year in 1926. The movement is in exceptional condition with a bridge plate design so the entire gear train is on display. The movement has been custom refinished with deep blue accents, and the movement screws have been finished in blue as well. The accents were created by thermally treating each movement part by hand to color the iron based components. The hands of the watch have not been restored and are in their original golden color. The Illinois dial is metal, has been finished in a style that resembles tree bark, and is in excellent condition. The indices on the dial are applied and look dynamic in different light conditions. The watch is cased in a new silver-colored wrist watch conversion case so the watch can be enjoyed on your wrist. The watch comes fully serviced and ready for your next adventure.
