Illinois Watch Co. was in operation from 1869-1948 and produced some of the most renowned railroad-grade movements ever manufactured. Watches were produced in their factory in Springfield, Illinois.

This timepiece, produced in Springfield, Illinois in 1920, is powered by the 405 grade movement—a 17-jewel Illinois in-house mechanism manufactured between 1911 and 1929. The movement, adorned with intricate damaskeening, showcases the entire gear featuring a bridge plate design. Exceptionally well-preserved, the movement has been custom refinished with blue accents achieved through precise thermal treatment of each part. The movement screws have a striking blue finish, while the watch hands remain un-restored, showcasing a one-of-a-kind fancy design. The metal Illinois dial features a circular guilloche pattern and bold, gold Arabic numerals. The golden hands contrast exceptionally well with the dial, creating a unique and distinguished profile.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel pocket watch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures. In a testament to our dedication to preserving history, the original 25 year gold filled pocket watch case is included as well.
