American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.
This Waltham timepiece was manufactured in Waltham, Massachusetts, and completed in 1877. The watch is powered by the P.S. Bartlett grade movement, an 11-jewel mechanism that is both key-wound and key-set, manufactured between 1857 and 1886. The movement has been restored and serviced, preserving all original components. The blue thermal accents were added by Waltham during manufacturing. The gilt finish on the movement has been carefully cleaned to showcase its beautiful gold-colored glow. The Waltham dial, made of porcelain enamel, is in flawless condition, free of any hairlines or chips. The original hands have been restored to their deep blue steel color through hand polishing and thermal coloring. The watch is housed in its original silveroid case, which has been gently polished to remove oxidation. The watch is key-wound and key-set, and a key is included for operation.
