American Waltham Watch Co. was in operation from 1852-1957 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Waltham watches took place at their facility in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Crafted in Waltham, Massachusetts, and completed in 1930, this Waltham timepiece is driven by the grade No 1235 movement—a 17-jewel Waltham in-house movement produced from 1924 to 1934. The movement has been completely restored and refinished by incorporating stylish blue accents to the screws and movement hardware. These accents were achieved through the precise hand-thermal treatment of each movement part and the hands of the watch have also been restored using the same thermal treatment process.
The Waltham dial, made of metal, has beautiful golden indices and features a secometer complication. With a secometer, the passage of seconds is displayed by the rotation of a disc with second indices. The watch ticks five times per second giving the secometer disc a smooth movement that is captivating to watch in person. The timepiece is encased in a newly designed silver-colored wristwatch conversion case to ensures comfortable wear with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, providing a more tailored fit for wrists of various sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets and offers water resistance up to 50 meters, although it is advisable to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. Having undergone thorough servicing, this timepiece is ready for your upcoming adventures.
