Elgin National Watch Co. was in operation from 1864-1968 and was an American pocket watch manufacturer. Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.

This Elgin timepiece was manufactured in Elgin, Illinois, and completed in 1917 during World War I. Powered by Elgin's proprietary 17-jewel Grade 344 movement, this flagship model was produced from 1906 to 1928 and stands as a testament to Elgin’s horological excellence. The movement boasts 17 jewels, intricately adorned ratchet and crown wheels, and exquisite damaskeening. It has been meticulously serviced and restored to ensure optimal timekeeping. The golden movement accents are original, a rare feature added by Elgin at the time of manufacture, making this piece particularly unique. The watch hands have been meticulously restored by hand polishing and thermal coloring over brass shavings, bringing out their original bright blue luster. The brass jewel settings have been cleaned to reveal their original golden sheen, adding to the timepiece's elegance. The Elgin dial is flawless porcelain enamel, absolutely stunning with bold Roman numerals, enhancing both readability and aesthetic appeal.

The timepiece is encased in a 316L stainless steel wristwatch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case includes front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, though it is recommended to remove the watch before engaging in water activities. The timepiece comes fully serviced and ready for your future adventures.
