Hamilton Watch Co. was in operation from 1892-1969 and manufactured some of the highest end, most accurate watches ever produced. Manufacturing of Hamilton watches took place at their facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
This Hamilton timepiece, crafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and completed in 1941 during World War II, is powered by the 917 grade—a 17-jewel in-house movement produced between 1936 and 1954. Notably, 917 movements from the early 1940s reflect Hamilton's dedication to precision and reliability during a pivotal time in history. The movement hardware has been thermal colored in a plum by hand, enhancing its visual appeal while showcasing the craftsmanship of this iconic piece. The watch hands have been restored to their original heat blue hue using the same thermal treatment process. The dial is in excellent condition, featuring stunning golden numerals that glisten beautifully in the light. The heat-blued hands provide exceptional contrast against the dial, creating a striking visual effect that highlights Hamilton's craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The timepiece is housed in a new 316L stainless steel pocket watch conversion case, designed with adjustable lugs for easy winding and setting, ensuring a comfortable fit across various wrist sizes. The case is equipped with front, back, and crown gaskets, providing water resistance up to 50 meters, although we recommend removing the watch before water activities. The watch is fully serviced and ready for your upcoming adventures. Because of our dedication to preserving history, the original gold filled pocket watch case will be included as well.
